Home is where the Heart is

I watched VH-1's rock honors the other day because I saw Queens of the Stone Age and Alice in Chains paid homage to Ozzy and Heart, respectively. Of particular note was, of course, what the hell Alice in Chains would sound like without Layne Staley.

Unfortunately, the band performed Heart's "Barracuda" with country singer Gretchen Wilson on vocals, so I didn't get to hear Jerry + the new black guy in the band. Fortunately, Ms. Wilson nailed the song, and as an added bonus, the hot Wilson sister (Nancy) came out and shredded with Cantrell. Queens also, expectedly, nailed Ozzy.

We'll not talk about horrible Keane was while covering Genesis. Even Nickelback was serviceable while covering ZZ Top.

In other news, I interviewed Jonah Hill from Superbad on Friday. He was absolutely hilarious, and we decided we were going to make an ugly naked men playing video games calendar.

You had to be there.

Also, Jen and I bought a house. It's monstrous. And cool.
